Trip Ideas

Every woman dreams of the perfect setting for her wedding and I was certainly no different. After months of searching, a friend told me about a wedding she had attended at Storybrook Farm in Jonesborough.

She went on and on about how beautiful it was so I just had to check it out. Making the short trip to Jonesborough, which is such a charming and beautiful town, it took me all of two minutes to fall completely in love with the venue. Trip Ideas 1

So, confession time… I am a certified chocoholic. Always have been and I don’t see that ever changing.

And as someone who has long eaten dessert before the entrée – lets face it, life is too short not to treat your taste buds to the sweet stuff first – being able to enjoy last year’s inaugural Chocolate Fest in Jonesborough was nothing short of a dream come true.

Think about it. Sweet treats everywhere you look, all through downtown Jonesborough. And, it also happens around Valentine’s Day, which also makes it a perfect outing for you and your significant other to enjoy together. OK, so Chocolate Fest is actually Feb. 11 this year but who says you can’t celebrate the holiday over the course of four wonderful, chocolate-filled days?

Santa will, of course, be on hand – sitting in his sleigh ready to take photos – and no matter how old my kids get, they can’t wait to see jolly old St. Nick. And it’s not just the little ones – my husband and I love having our picture taken with Santa ever year!
