Jonesborough has many unique places to explore and discover, one of those places is quite small. Tucked away in the green space beside Mill Spring Makers Market is Jonesborough's Smallest Art Gallery. Located inside a small outdoor gallery is a public art project featuring a different local artist each month.

Part Four – The Music and the Laughter One of the best parts of the Radio Show is always the live musical acts. Since the beginning, the Radio Show has featured regional artists. If you have a variety program, you’ve got to have music. In our thirteen years, we’ve had Momma Molasses, Virginia West, George Bailey and Jukebox Jess, Aaron Jaxson, and of course local favorites the Jonesborough Novelty Band.

The Town of Jonesborough is requesting proposals from professional individuals or firms for the purpose of developing a website and branding work for the Jackson Theatre. Specifications for the RFP can be obtained below. All proposals must be received by 10 a.m. on July 11, 2024.

Part Three – The Surprises One of the most enjoyable parts of the StoryTown Radio Show is that no two shows are alike. They might have similar themes from time to time, but the stories are different, and we never have the same exact cast twice. StoryTown is also lucky to have a rotating door of musical acts, special guests, and visiting acts.

Part Two – The Cast

Once the script is written for the Radio Show, it’s time to assemble the StoryTown Players. There’s a core group of approximately 30 community actors who come together throughout the season to perform and record the shows. Some of them have been involved in the Radio Show from its earliest days when it was still known as the Jonesborough Yarn Exchange and performed at the International Storytelling Center.

Part One – The Script: Every month for the StoryTown Radio Show, “We gather all your stories in a brand new play, Then retell it the Jonesborough way.” That’s what the StoryTown theme song by Heather McCluskey says anyway. But how do we do that? Right now, I’m hard at work on the script for “I Will Not be Moved: Stories of Perseverance.”
