Cody Armstrong is the owner and his story starts with flight school! He says, “I saw an ad in a newspaper, ‘Introductory Flights $60.00’ after that I was hooked. Aviation was the future, but flowers were my passion. After years of training at a local flight school, I left to pursue my real passion, floral design.”
Now with 15 years of experience, he provides an innovative floral business to the community of Jonesborough.

HootFlower
Supplied by their back yard, these floral growers are adding to the culture of the town. This is provided by the honor system, so people can pick up flowers from their front porch and pay there. People can help themselves to bouquets when the sign is out on the road (usually mid-May through mid-November).
They have also provided flowers for special occasions, birthdays, art openings, life celebrations and business openings, they’ve provided them to local flower business and for the farm to table dinner down town.
According to the owner, “We started growing them for fun and using them to photograph alongside Will’s knives, Heartwood Forge, after a road trip through Vermont on our way to Maine we were inspired by all of the honor system farm and flower stands and decided it was something we needed in our neighborhood.”
They also have flower bombs which are made with LOTS of seeds, local compost and clay from their yard. They’re made for having fun – just throw them out and let the rain and sun do the rest.
