Every season, the StoryTown Radio Show features an eclectic mix of musical artists and genres ranging from country to rock, from bluegrass, to jazz, gospel, and beyond. Part of what made the radio shows of the 1930s and 40s so iconic were their live bands. We keep this tradition going in the 21st century at the StoryTown Radio show and every edition highlights a different artist/act. This season we have returning favorites like the Jonesborough Novelty Band, the David Crockett High School Madrigal Singers, and Lightnin’ Charlie, who was one of the original guests back when the show was just getting started.

We also have several new acts this season who have never been on the StoryTown Radio Show, including the ETSU Gospel Choir who will be performing on February 24th. Later in the year we’ll have the new local band Heartstrings, Celtic trio Jenny and the Weazles, and comedic country group The Flying J’s. Join us for a season of stories and music. Season passes for the 14th season are still available at Ticket Packages for Town Of Jonesborough via ThunderTix.

Catch the next episode of the StoryTown Radio Show on Monday, February 24th with “Fair Play in the Arena of Life.” We’ll be sharing stories about teamwork on and off the sporting field. You can get your tickets now at Jonesborough.com/tickets or by calling the Visitors Center at 423-753-1010.

The Radio Show is recorded for broadcast on local NPR station WETS 89.5 out of Johnson City, which can be heard the last Wednesday of the month at 8PM. StoryTown is sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission, McLeod Organics, Trivia with Budds, the Wild Women of Jonesborough, Gary and Sandee Degner, and Wolfe Development. StoryTown is part of Jonesborough’s Mary B. Martin Program for the Arts at the McKinney Center.
