Tennessee’s Oldest Town Is About To Get A Lot Sweeter!

The sixth annual Chocolate Fest may look different, but it’ll still be just as sweet!

Jonesborough Area Merchants and Service Associations (JAMSA) has worked diligently to create a safe, healthy, and fun environment for Chocolate Fest 2021. There will be chocolate stops dotted throughout downtown provided by Jonesborough small businesses, each serving something unique and special but of course, chocolate-themed.

You’ll discover endless options— everything from barks, fudges, chocolate-covered strawberries and so much more. One ticket equals one chocolate treat. At check-in, you will receive a bag to carry your chocolates in, your pack of 10 tickets, and a mask if needed.

Days And Times + Purchase Tickets!

How The Event Has Adapted For 2021

The event has been adapted in a variety of ways to ensure our small businesses, the community, and visitors all remain healthy and safe.

  • The event has been modified from a one-day event to a three-day event with multiple times available and a limited number of tickets sold.
  • The days and times are as follows; Friday, February 12th from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, February 13th from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-5 p.m., and Sunday, February 14th from 1-4 p.m.
  • All chocolates are packaged for pick up to be enjoyed at home.
  • Social distancing guidelines will be in place and masks are required due to the Washington County mask mandate.
  • Due to capacity limits, you may experience wait times at chocolate stops.

Ticket Pick-Up, How To Purchase, And Other Ticket Details

  • Tickets are sold in packs of 10 at $15 each.
  • You can purchase tickets online at JboChocolateFest.com.
  • Each individual ticket in your pack of 10 gets you one chocolate tasting.
  • You can use more than one ticket at a location but we do ask that you not take too many multiples of one item so other guests have a chance to sample all the offerings.
  • Tickets are only good for the specific time period you purchased.
  • After purchasing your tickets, you will receive an email confirmation along with your voucher that will allow you to pick up your tickets. YOU MUST print your voucher OR have it pulled up on your mobile device to be scanned at check-in.
  • When you arrive at check-in (you can do this the day of or beat the line and come to our early check-in, more details below) you will receive your ticket packet which consists of individual tickets for tastings, a listing of the chocolate stops, a Chocolate Fest bag to carry all your treats in, a mask if needed, and other informational items.
  • Early ticket pickup will begin Monday, February 8 through Wednesday, February 10 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, February 11 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Jonesborough Visitors Center, located at 117 Boone Street.
  • Whether you pick up tickets early or not, you will not be able to pick-up chocolates until your time slot.
  • YOU MUST come during the timeframe you purchased your tickets for.
  • You can also pick-up your ticket packets the day of the event at the Jonesborough Visitors Center. This will begin 1 hour before your time slot.
  • Tickets need to be purchased in advance.
  • You can share packs of tickets. Example: you and your friend buy 3 packs of tickets, you each get one pack and then split the third pack so you can have 15 delicious chocolate tastings instead of 10.
  • Chocolate Fest will take place rain, snow, or shine.

  • Social distancing guidelines will be in place and masks are required due to the Washington County mask mandate.

Take Part In The Spread The Love Project

In addition to Chocolate Fest, attendees can take part in The Spread the Love Project organized by Main Street Jonesborough. This is a fundraiser for area non-profits, as well community projects, to share your words of love and kindness to be displayed throughout Downtown Jonesborough in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Select downtown businesses will offer paper hearts to purchase for a suggested donation that will go to a non-profit of their choosing. Participants will write a message of love or kindness on the heart and the business will display it in their store window through the holiday.

What Is JAMSA?

Jonesborough’s Area Merchants and Service Association (JAMSA) is operated by volunteers, consisting of local business owners and community members. As an organization, they focus on promoting and serving local merchants as well as the growth of Jonesborough as a whole. Chocolate Fest is just one of the ways JAMSA works to support locally owned businesses. The funds raised from Chocolate Fest go directly back to Jonesborough’s small businesses and the community.
