The Town of Jonesborough invites the community to gather in Downtown Jonesborough this Memorial Day for a meaningful day of remembrance and celebration on Monday, May 26, 2025.
The Memorial Day Ceremony will begin at noon, featuring a presentation of the Colors by the Daniel Boone Jr. Marine Corps League Color Guard, offering a moving tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States. Musical performances will be provided by the Appalachian Express Chorus, Jonesborough Repertory Theatre, and local favorite Scott Wild, offering stirring renditions to commemorate the day.
As part of the Memorial Day weekend, The Jackson Theatre will also host free film screenings of iconic war movies sponsored by McLeod Organics:
Friday, May 24th

- Hacksaw Ridge – 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 26th
- Patton – 3:00 p.m.
