The Town of Jonesborough presents Christmas in Olde Jonesborough, a month full of holiday cheer for you to enjoy with family and friends! Each Saturday features free activities for the whole family and a different theme each weekend, including Whoville Christmas, Doggone Christmas and Santa’s Christmas Village taking place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Event Highlights

We’re gearing up for the holiday season and we can’t wait for to celebrate the season with you all in Downtown Jonesborough this year!

Lighting of the Tree (11/29 at 6 p.m) and Shop Small Friday (4 to 6 p.m.)

We will be officially kicking off the holiday season with our annual tree lighting ceremony! Shop Small for unique holiday finds at our Shop Small Friday event before the tree lighting from 4 to 6 p.m.

Whoville Christmas and Shop Small Saturday (11/30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Immerse yourself in Whoville magic in downtown Jonesborough! Transform your hair-do with Whoville Hair and visit the Grinch and receive a “Grinch Treat”! Plus – shop small for holiday gifts, support local businesses, and grab shop small ‘swag’ at the Jonesborough welcome tent!

A Doggone Christmas (12/7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Bring your festive furry friends to Main Street for some holiday fun! Get some pictures with Santa, participate in the costume contest, visit merchants to receive free dog treats, and more!

Santa’s Christmas Village (12/14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and Parade (begins at 6 p.m.)

Gather your friends & family and come visit Santa’s Christmas Village inside the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center! Stick around and experience our annual lighted Christmas Parade on Main Street! This years theme is “A Nutcracker Christmas”.

Christmas Church Stroll (12/21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Stroll through town visiting participating churches and fill your heart with holiday spirit!
