Franklin House Bed and Breakfast—Built in 1840s

This Tennessee Vernacular style home offers three comfortable guest rooms named after former residents who lived in the home as early as the 1840s. A guest apartment with private entrance and all the amenities is available for extended stays. Each has a private bath and includes a delicious full breakfast. After enjoying your breakfast on the covered front porch, take a short 4-minute walk to the center of historic downtown.

The Mathes Room was named after the earliest known owner. Furnished with two twin beds, this room will bring you back to the days when bedrooms were quaint and cozy. It has two comfortable reading chairs and a private bath.

The Babb room was named after Isaac and Ellen Babb. Isaac was a blacksmith and Civil War Veteran and Ellen became the Babb Family matriarch. They raised twelve children in the house from 1869 – 1923. The Babb Room boasts a comfortable spacious queen-sized bed, two reading chairs and a private bathroom off the main hall with a full bathtub and shower. Snuggle between luxurious sheets for a blissful nights rest.

The Denton room was named after the family who occupied the house from 1923 – 1945. Crawl into the comfort of our full-sized quilted bed after a busy day of visiting or sightseeing. Enjoy a warm shower in your private bath and relax in the rocking chair or sit in the armchair while reading your favorite book.

The fully furnished guest apartment is ideal for an extended stay. The private apartment features a full kitchen, dining room, living area, bedroom and bath, and is complete with gas fireplace and laundry room. All you need is your suitcase.
