StoryTown Radio Show: Epic Summer Fails

July 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This July 22nd at 7PM, StoryTown is back with a hilarious episode dedicated to the mishaps that can happen with summer weddings and summer vacations.
StoryTown performs in the format of a live, old-time radio show complete with sound effects, musical underscoring, live skits, and a great musical guest. This month’s show is all about the highs and lows that come with planning and executing the perfect summer wedding and/or summer vacation. We’ve got stories from a seasoned wedding planner and all the mishaps she saw over her career as well as a story about what happens when things don’t go as planned in a patriotic rock garden. The Radio Show is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy a summer evening.
Joining the cast this month is the Jimmie D. Band. They had the audience rocking when they came last year with their rock and blues mix. The performance takes place on July 22nd at the McKinney Center at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10 and available online at Jonesborough.com/tickets or by calling the Historic Visitors Center at 423-753-1010.
The Radio Show is also recorded for broadcast on local NPR station WETS 89.5 out of Johnson City, which can be heard the last Wednesday of the month at 8PM. StoryTown is sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission, Gary and Sandee Degner, Trivia with Budds, the Silver Raven, Mountain Empire Cremation and Burial Services, and the Wild Women of Jonesborough.
