A chandler is just another word for candle maker. In medieval times, a chandler was responsible for making wax, candles, and soap for the household, and the chandlery was the room in which this work was done and products were stored. In electing to use simple ingredients and hand processing, we feel this older term represents what we do best.
“We” are Judy Carolyn McGee and Anthony Lee Bishop. As sister and brother, we grew up in a household where hard work was appreciated and creativity was encouraged. Our adventure as chandlers began over forty years ago in the Bishop family kitchen. There, my sister and I melted my favorite childhood crayons to color our first batch of homemade candles. Today, with that same family spirit, it is our goal to continue making the finest candles available. All of our candles are hand poured using only pure soy wax. We hope that using our candles helps your customers create fond memories, just as making them has for us.
