DESCRIPTION:History Happy Hour is excited to feature a program with Dr.William Kennedy on Thursday\, July 21st.  \n  \nDr.Kennedy has been instrumental in the Jonesborough historic preservationmovement since the 1970s\, and he was one of the founders of the HistoricJonesborough Foundation which went on to form the Heritage Alliance.  \n  \nHissession on July 21st is entitled “Jonesborough’s 19th Century BrickBuildings: Handmade Beauties.” He will show how skilled artisans mixed locallyavailable raw materials to form the beautiful brick buildings that we continueto enjoy. He will also show the art of design in the patterns of walls and specializedstructures of buildings. He’ll show you beautiful\, close-up details you probablyhave never noticed and tell you the meanings of those details.  \n  \nTheprogram will begin at 6:30 pm in the Chester Inn Museum’s board room\, andparticipants can join in-person or stream live on the Chester Inn Museum’sFacebook page. The program is free and open to the public! \n                                                                    \nHistory Happy Hour takes place on the third Thursday of themonth through November at 6:30 pm. DESCRIPTION:Learn the history of the Old Jonesborough Cemetery\, the stories of the people who are buried there\, and the ways in which they impacted the town. Tour is available the first and third Saturdays of the month at 2:30 from June 4th – October 1st. Tickets are $3.00 and are available for purchase at the Chester Inn Museum. Proceeds from the tour help maintain the cemetery.
