DESCRIPTION:We are bringing back a community favorite and will be hosting our Jack-o-lantern Drive Thru again this year.  First\, plan to pick up a pumpkin from the Jonesborough VisitorsCenter\, located at 117 Boone Street\, on Monday\, October 25\,4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Take your pumpkin home\, carve it and bring it back to the Jonesborough Visitors Center on Wednesday\, October 27\,4 p.m. to 7 p.m. or Thursday\, October 28\, 10a.m. to 12 p.m. During the Jack-o-lantern Drive Thru ​these pumpkins will be lit and on display along Main Street from Thursday\, October28 through Sunday\, October 31\, ​from 6 p.m. to9 p.m. ​each evening​. \nThere will be three categories’ participants can enter in for prizes: kids\, family and adults. ​Winners will be announced on social media and will receive gift certificates to use in our downtown businesses.

Pumpkins can be picked up and dropped off at the Jonesborough Visitors Center\, located at 117 Boone Street. Pick up will be Monday\, October 25 between 4 p.m.-7pm and drop off will be Wednesday\, October 27 between  4-7pm and Thursday\, October 28 between 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be three categories participants can enter in for prizes: kids\, family and adults. Participants must write their name and phone number written on the bottom of the pumpkin. \nWhen Will The Winners Be Announced?\nJack-o-lantern contest winners will be announced on the Main Street Jonesborough social media pages\, Facebook and Instagram\, so make sure to check those to see if you’ve won.

What’s the story behind that?Hear these very true tales and more during this unique tour that’s perfect foran October evening. \n  \nThe True and Chilling Tales Tour will take place at 7:00 pm on October18th\, 20th\, 27th\, 28th\, 31st\,and November 1st. Your guide will lead you down Main Street with her“book of poor souls.” Mind your step\, lest you end up in that book\, too.Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased through the Town of Jonesborough’sticketing system at jonesborough.com/tickets. The tour will last an hour.Groups are limited to only 16 people\, so make sure you buy your tickets inadvance. The tours will depart from the Chester Inn State Historic Site andMuseum on Main Street.
