Virtual History Happy Hour: Bristol Session Guitar Styles

Join us online on August 20th at 6:30 pm as wewelcome back Dr. Rene Rodgers from the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. Thepresentation will be free and can be accessed either through Zoom or on theChester Inn Museum’s Facebook page. The Zoom logininformation is also available on Facebook in the description for the event.
Dr. Rodgers will be speaking about different guitar stylesthat were used during the Bristol Sessions, a series of influential recordingsthat were integral to the early development of country music. Recorded inBristol, the sessions featured local artists and prominent figures such as theStoneman Group and the Carter family. Theprogram will begin online at 6:30 pm and participants can join the Zoom meetingor stream live on Facebook at that time. Participants who use Zoom areencouraged to keep their microphones muted, and viewers can relay questions onZoom or Facebook to the chat during and after the presentation. The program isfree and open to the public!
